"Game of Thrones" actor Kristofer Hivju who plays Tormund Giantsbane is happy for his character to have a love interest in Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). He hopes for an Internet series focusing on the two characters being together on their own show.

The 37-year-old actor laughs and enjoys the love team. No one saw what will occur between the two characters, not even himself. He feels that the stuff fans created on the Internet about his character and Brienne of Tarth are touching, such as  the Titanic pose.

Westeros has less successful love stories, but fans are shipping for Giantsbane and Brienne. The current central plot of the story is Giantsbane becoming the leader of the wildings. He and Jon Snow are prepping to battle with Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).

For now, Giantsbane has no time for heart matters and his attraction to Brienne has not been reciprocated yet. However, what is between them is a bit of respite in the series that has several dark plots. His moments with Brienne are a welcome distraction.

As Brienne and Giantsbane are both fighters, they can be interchanged of who is stronger or weaker. Hivju admitted the latter can be the weaker one.

The actor shared that he was given the impression by the show creators that his character must probably be more of a bachelor guy. Hence, he was delighted that Giantsbane can be a lover. Now, everyone wishes the HBO fantasy drama becomes a romantic comedy and have more love.

On the set, Hivju shared he and Christie are good friends. He sees her as a fantastic actress, who has full of life and is fun to work with. He loved to crack her up, which generated a lot of laughs, he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Hivju has his hands full with projects, and his beard usually draws attention. He also plays Torstein in "The Last King" who is in charge of protecting the secret bastard child of the king while a civil war is ongoing and the successor line is in dispute.

The Norwegian actor is also a part of "Fast 8" said the crew wanted his beard, huge and full though he was at first teased they will cut everything off. He looks forward to shave his beard for a new look.

"I look forward to the day when I can shave it," Hivju told Vulture. "When I can change my look to something fresh and new. [Laughs.] But now, it's how it is."

While his "Game of Thrones" co-star Kit Harington recently shaved his beard, Hivju said the Jon Snow actor's beard is small and easy to get back. His beard needs five months to grow.
