If recent reports are anything to go by, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be launched next year. Microsoft Surface Pro 4, on the other hand, was unveiled in October last year.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch display at a 2K resolution, according to a report from Digital Trends. It is powered by sixth generation Intel Core chips with a choice between i7, i5 and m3 processors.

Graphics on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 were supported by Intel Iris Graphics chips, Intel HD Graphics 520 and Intel HD Graphics 515. The tablet has a 5MP front lens and an 8MP rear camera. It comes with RAM options of 16GB, 8GB and 4GB.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5, on the other hand, is expected to come in two variants, one variant with a 2K resolution and the other variant with a 4K resolution display screen. According to reports, the upcoming tablet will have a 12.3-inch display.

Rumors are making the rounds that the forthcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be powered by new Intel Kaby Lake processor.

The Pro 4 comes with a Surface Connect Port, a cover port, a mini-DisplayPort, a card reader and headset jack together with a Surface Pen.

Various reports indicate that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come with an HDMI port. There are speculations that the new Surface Pen will come with a rechargeable battery.

According to reports, the upcoming Surface Pro 5 will have a starting price of $899. It is believed that the i7 variant with a 4K display will come in at $1,599.
