Most recent reports claimed that Jackie Chan, 62, and Indian actor Rajinikanth, 65, will be teaming up to make a blockbuster film called "The Chini Saga," which revolves around the legend of the dragon from Chini Lake in Pahang, Malaysia.

The exciting news comes straight from the horse's mouth - film's producer Mohd Rafeezid Mohd Zin aka Pveezi Zain - who spilled the beans to Sinar Harian, according to The Malay Mail Online. Pveezi revealed that both renowned actors had reportedly signed a contract to star in the said film.

"The Chini Saga," which revolves "I am not just making this up," said Pveezi. "As this film is planned to be screened in the actors' home countries, therefore we would need their appearance in the film."

Pveezi went ahead to reveal that Indian actress Sonam Kapoor has also been cast for the female lead part in the film. He added that the film would also feature local Malaysian actors apart from international stars.

The forthcoming Malaysian film was first announced in 2012, but was deferred due to insufficient funds. Nonetheless, Pveezi assured fans that the filming would most likely commence in July, stating that the production team has already managed to collect the funds needed to produce it.

The filming locations are India, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Norway. The film will feature 90 percent of Computer-generated imagery (CGI) and it would also be 90 percent in English, as it is intended to be released in theaters across Malaysia, Europe, and China. More details about the film will be revealed soon.

In other news, Chan is heading down to Sydney in July to film the science-fiction thriller, "Bleeding Steel," which is co-produced and co-financed by China's Heyi Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. In the film, Chan will play a special-forces agent, who fights to protect a woman from a sinister gang of culprits, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The forthcoming film is expected to be the biggest budget Chinese film to shoot in Australia. It is written and directed by Lijia Zhang, whose previous projects include the 2012's blockbuster film, "Chrysanthemum to the Beast."
