There is a new must have accessory for beach bums who like to take photos while swimming with their GoPro camera. Capturing a moment where you can see the view underwater and above the water at the same time in one photo is truly amazing. A new underwater accessory was introduced for GoPro cameras called the Crocodile.
According to Digital Trends, the concept of this accessory is to see a half image of what you see under the water and above the water. This is most likely what a crocodile sees when it floats on the water and this is the reason why it is named after it.
When taking a photo with a crocodile's view effect in the water is not that simple. When you use a conventional underwater camera, the area that the lens can cover with this kind of photo capturing is so small which means it will give you a hard time to get a perfect shot.
When you attach the GoPro camera to the Crocodile camera accessory, it makes it easier to get a perfect shot because of the outer clear plastic housing that works as a secondary lens. It gives the GoPro camera lens a wider and clearer view when taking a photo.
The Crocodile camera accessory is compatible with GoPro Hero 3 version to Hero 4. The Crocodile is made with an aluminum body and weighs 680 grams with a dimension of 6 x 6 x 4 inches. Aside from Crocodile where the camera can be attached, you can also use a Shooter gun accessory that gives you an easy and comfortable grip for your GoPro camera with the Crocodile.
A funding campaign was made in Kickstarter.com for this accessory concept. Now that the campaign fund already reached its $2,400 goal, this will be brought to life later this year. According to reports, those who pledged $180 will get the first shipment this September with the Crocodile camera accessory and Shooter gun while those who pledged $130 will only get the Crocodile camera accessory.
The campaign is still ongoing as of writing and the amount has already reached $4,415.
