Some users of non-HTC smartphones should be excited since HTC announced that HTC Sense Home 8 is rolling out as a closed beta. The launcher started rolling out on June 23 and select users of non-HTC Androids should expect it soon.

Many HTC apps from the Google Play Store are decoupled from the main operating system, implying that there is no need for a complete system update for the OEM to revamp them. Furthermore, the decoupled software can be jerked to work on a wide range of smartphones, except the HTC. An example is the HTC Zoe that allows users to capture and create beautiful short videos using a variety of Android devices.

HTC began sending invites to select users to beta test the Sense Home 8, according to Ausdroid. The invitation emails, codenamed GOOGKE_PLAY_SENSE_GP, began rolling out on June 23 and it will allow non-HTC Android phones to benefit from the full features of the Sense Home 8. Users should have a compatible smartphone that runs Android KitKat 4.4 or above to benefit from the closed beta. The developer will choose its own testers, and therefore, users should wait to see if they are chosen.

Select users will receive the email from HTC soon enough. Irrespective of the decision to take part or not, it is crucial to move fast. It is important to note that testers will get the UI on a "First come, first serve" basis.

Remember that Sense Home 8 is the latest launcher that hit on the HTC 10 smartphone. Those familiar with the app discovered that it is clean, clear, and smooth, besides coming with captivating features.

One of the greatest features is the "Freestyle layouts," which allows users to arrange app icons, widgets, and stockers the way they like on the home screens. As a result, they have an in-depth customized experience, which make Sense Home 8 a highly customizable stock launcher on the market.
