Fans of "The Elder Scrolls" franchise have been clamoring for the release of the sixth installment, "The Elder Scrolls 6." Howard confirmed at E3 2016 that Bethesda is working on the next "Elder Scrolls" sequel, but fans will have to wait a bit longer, according to Kitguru. The series director added that there are two other projects to be launched before the release of "The Elder Scrolls 6."

"It's a very long way off," Howard said. "It's something that's going to take a lot of time, what we have in mind for that game."

At the same time, Bethesda's vice president of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, gave more details via IGN about the upcoming two projects, saying that the games will have the size of "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim." While "The Elder Scrolls 6" is in the works, Hines clarified that gamers will not be getting it for many years.

The release date for "The Elder Scrolls 6" might still be a long way off, but it is certain that the game will be superior, particularly because the studio will not be rushing to finish it. With the information that "The Elder Scrolls VI" will be launched after two major projects, fans have a timeline on when to anticipate the installment.

Details about the first two major games are yet to be unveiled since the developer has kept everything under wrap. As fans wait for many years to lay hands on the sixth installment in "The Elder Scrolls" franchise, they can enjoy "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" remastered that was revealed at E3. The refreshed version of "Skyrim" will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and the PC on Oct. 28.

While there is no much information about the possible location of the upcoming "Elder Scrolls 6," many speculations suggest that Argonia is the next focus for the sequel. For now, "The Elder Scrolls Online" is the focus for the company, besides "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Special Edition.
