Besides Song Joong-ki, other awardees are idol group TWICE, comedian Jo Se Ho and vocalist Ha Hyun Woo from Guckkasten, an indie band. The four are representatives of the entertainment industry. They were selected by 100 consumer representatives from South Korea who are in their 20s and 30s, picked from 88 brands.

The forum said that the award ceremony would be on July 19. The award further cements Song Joong-ki’s status as the most popular celebrity in South Korea and China, proven further by sell-out concerts in his recent fan meets in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The actor also just added another commercial to his long list of endorsements. AllKpop reported that Song Joong-ki did a pictorial for the android application download platform for Tencent, one of China’s largest e-commerce site. The actor’s poses, though, may be mistaken as being a model of a clothing brand.

He said that in the future, he would use Tencent’s Ying Yong Bao application to interact with his Chinese friends and fans.

On Twitter, there are also photos of Song Joong-ki filming a commercial at Los Angeles wholesale market which just adds more to his new endorsements.
