The company is about to get rid of the Air brand, including the iPad Air and MacBook Air products in its lineup, according to Tech blogger Jack March.

But some reports claim that the iPad Air 3 will be launched next year. The possible cancellation of the device could also be related to the sales decline in the tablet industry.

Speculations are making the rounds that the Cupertino-based company will not launch the new iPad Air now that the iPad Pro has a 9.7-inch option. Furthermore, the 2016 MacBook Air does not appear to fit naturally in the company's line-up now that the new MacBook is lighter and thinner than ever.

Getting rid of the MacBook Air 2016 may mean that the software company will lose this particular target niche but can be recovered with other Apple products.

Meanwhile, new reports claim that the MacBook Pro lineup will be the company's most significant upgrade ever.

It is said that the new device will measure 13-15 inches and will be lighter and thinner. According to various reports, the 2016 MacBook Pro will have an OLED display touch bar and Touch ID. The butterfly mechanism keyboard and metal injection molded hinges will also be integrated.

Faster Skylake processors, 400-series Polaris graphics chips, USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 are some of the other rumored features of the Apple device. Rumor has it that the personal virtual assistant Siri will be among the new features of the laptop.

The 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to arrive in the final quarter of this year. Several reports indicate that the delay in the device's release is due to the removal of the 3.5mm audio jack. Some reports suggest that Apple will introduce an innovation to replace the headphone jack.

Rumor has it that the MacBook Air 2016 will feature chassis, cooling modules and new batteries. It is likely that the device will feature RAM upgrades, graphics and Intel processors.

Also, according to a report from Apple Insider, the tech company has started pulling out non-Retina MacBook Pro in stores.
