"Scarlet Heart: Goryeo's" lead stars, IU, Lee Joon Gi and Kang Ha Neul, attended the drama's wrap-up party at a barbeque restaurant in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul on July 5, Tuesday. The series wraps up its six months of shooting on July 1.

Most all actors came to the get-together, including Hong Jong Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, Ji Soo, Byun Baekyhun and Yoon Sun Woo. The cast and crew members wanted to celebrate the success of shooting the 20-episode pre-produced drama and bid farewell with a happy heart, Soompi reported.

On July 5, Tuesday, actor Jo Min Ki took to Instagram and shared several photos of "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo's" cast and crew members, as they delighted a barbecue dinner together. In one group photo, Lee makes a heart with his fingers, while EXO's Baekhyun smiles goofily.

Actress IU makes a V-sign with her chopsticks in her right hand, while Kang smiles joyfully with a glass in his hand. Actor Jo, best known for his roles in 2009's "Queen Seondeok" and 2010's "Flames of Desire," simply wrote the caption as "Beautiful People."

Jo, whose head is poking up in the above photo, also shared a couple of other selca with the cast during their farewell party. He also expressed gratitude toward the fans who sent gifts, drinks, and foods.


Helmed by Kim Kyu-Tae, "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" is a time-slip fantasy romance drama about the 21st-century woman, Hae Soo (IU), who travels back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty (918 CE), after a total eclipse of the sun takes place. There, she becomes involved with the family of King Taejo (Jo) and becomes hopelessly enamored with the 4th Prince, Wang So (Lee), who makes other people tremble with fear.

IU's character will be the love interest of the Prince Wang Soo and the shrewd, ambitious 8th Prince, Wang Wook (Kang), who is vying for the throne and her love, Drama Beans reported. The upcoming drama is based on Chinese novel by Tong Hua titled "Bu Bu Jing Xin."

SBS's "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" is scheduled to premiere on Aug. 29 at 10:00 PM (KST). Check out the trailer below:
