Lena Headey's "Game of Thrones" villain character Cersei Lannister could be even more evil from season 7 and onwards. In season 6 episode 10, she blew up Sept of Baelor, making her one of the most evil characters in the fantasy drama. Furthermore, she also sits on the Iron Throne as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
Now sitting the throne as queen, her twin brother and lover, Jaime Lannister gave her a significant look. She risked not to have his support anymore, and will be living her life all alone to enjoy her power.
In HBO's massive hit show, Cersei is the character everyone loves to hate, thanks to the performance of Headey and the story's emphasis of her love for her children. The fact is, the Cersei on TV is less hideous than the Cersei in the books. Now, that she lost all her children, whom she loved and protected, the Cersei on TV could really become the very cruel character in the books, according to Vulture .
The "Game of Thrones" books have the Lannister lady killed the High Septon, High Sparrow's predecessor because she believed he was a man of her brother Tyrion Lannister. She also plotted to kill Jon Snow, Prince Doran Martell's son Trystane, and wanted Arya Stark to lose a hand, when the girl had an encounter with her son, King Joffrey Baratheon.
Jaime's lover and twin sister reportedly killed babies, particularly the twins of a serving wench whom her husband King Robert Baratheon impregnated. She likewise aborted her husband's legitimate heir and raised three kids instead from her incestuous relationship with Jaime. Her two sons and one daughter appeared as the king's children.
Aside from those, Cersei killed her best friend Melara Hetherspoon. A flashback in season 5 had Cersei as a girl with her companion and bedmaid Hetherspoon who accompanied her to the wood witch. Hetherspoon asked the witch if she will marry Jaime.
"Worms will have your maidenhead. Your death is here tonight, little one," the witch told Hetherspoon. She added, "Can you smell her breath? She is very close."
Thinking of being so daring to marry her twin and later called her "greedy little schemer," Cersei considered it a betrayal and pushed her friend into a well to drown. Cersei never had a close friend after that.
While there was a question all along who would sit on the Iron Throne, actress Headey herself did not expect that it will be her character. She thinks Cersei will not sit on the throne for long. There will be those who will take her down.
"I've always said that when it happens, as long as it's kinda glorious and gory and it's by the right person," Headey told Entertainment Weekly. "I think it has to be Arya or Tyrion."
Her brother Tyrion who killed their father Tywin Lannister would be an interesting killer of hers. She loves to have a scene with her dwarf brother when she will give him a dying kiss.
