Many fans rejoiced when Bran's (Isaac Hempstead Wright) vision showed Lyanna Stark as Jon's true mother since it proved the popular theory about his true parents. Although it is still unclear if Bran has already connected that Jon's true father is Rhaegar Targaryen, it would only be a matter of time before the truth is revealed. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hempstead Wright mentioned that the vision has led Bran to think that the identity of Jon's father will play an important role in Westeros' future.

The actor also mentioned that Jon's true parentage could serve Harington's character well. The newly crowned King of the North may soon become a valuable ally in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7 battle. It could also lead to an alliance between Jon and his secret relative, the Queen of the Dragons Daenerys.

However, Jon's true birth parents may potentially affect his standing as the King of the North, as indicated in the same report. In the Season 6 finale, he was recognized and accepted as the North's leader given his blood connection to Ned as the said character's illegitimate son. It is unclear if the people who support him now will continue to do so once they find out the truth. At this time, Bran has yet to share his vision with anybody.

Meanwhile, another theory surrounding Jon and his true family involves the existence of a potential twin sister for Harington's character. Speculations posted at Digital Spy has indicated that Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) and Jon may be twin siblings. The said fan theory started since the two stars sported the same curly hairstyle in earlier episodes of "Game of Thrones."

Speculations again reignited when Meera's father Howland was spotted with Ned at the Tower of Joy during Bran's visions. The theory indicated that Lyanna may have given birth to another baby after her reunion scene with Ned. The second baby, speculated to be Meera, was said to have been handed to Howland by Ned to keep her safe.

It would be interesting to see whether these fan theories would again prove to be correct similar to Jon's origins. Fans can look forward to the remaining two seasons of the HBO series to find out if it is true.
