The latest details and possible spoilers for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature a possible formation of the Sinister Six and the appearance of Gwen Stacy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A new cast member has been added to the growing roster of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as "The Nice Guys" actress Angourie Rice will be joining the Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei etc. The production team of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia and Rice could be playing one Peter Parker/Spider-Man's (Holland) classmates at his school.

However, Rice's inclusion to the cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" have fans speculating that Marvel Studios already found their version of Gwen Stacy in the MCU, even though the studio did not officially revealed her character name, MovieWeb reported.

Gwen Stacy is one of the more popular Spider-Man love interests in the Marvel comics next to Mary Jane Watson and the character has been featured in several live-action "Spidey" films such as "Spider-Man 3" played by "Jurassic World" actress Bryce Dallas Howard and "The Amazing Spider-Man" series played by "Zombieland" star Emma Stone.

So far, Marvel Studios has not yet commented about the speculation as neither Mary Jane nor Gwen Stacy have been cast and Peter's love interest will likely be Michelle (Zendaya) giving fans a different dynamic and perspective for the film.

In other news, it seems that "Spider-Man: Homecoming" could be the set-up for the MCU's version of the Sinister Six.

Three actors are already been cast as villains in the film such Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green and Bokeem Woodbine. Keaton is rumored to play Adrian Toomes/The Vulture, while Green will play The Tinkerer and Woodbine's character name has not been announced.

With three villains present in the film, not to mention the rumors of "Better Call Saul" actor Michael Mondo being cast as Cletus Cassidy/Carnage it seems that Marvel Studios may revive Sinister Six in the MCU, Melty reported.

The concept of a "Sinister Six" came from Sony's desire to create spin-offs if "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise along with "Venom" and a direct competition for Warner Bros. produced film "Suicide Squad", which is also a super villain focused movie.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" film credits already teased the formation of the Sinister Six members such as Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, Black Cat, Doctor Octopus, Rhino and Vulture. Unfortunately, Sony scrapped their plans for "Sinister Six" since they have announced that Spider-Man will be moving to the Marvel Studios.

These leads to the question if the Sinister Six will be included in the MCU if "Spider-Man: Homecoming" became a huge hit in cinemas worldwide. Comic book fans will just have to wait for more details from Marvel Studios soon.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
