While there had been delays in the release of GoPro Hero 5, and GoPro's upcoming drone, Karma, reports recently surfaced that both devices will be launched simultaneously during the holidays. In a recent interview, GoPro CEO Nick Woodman confirmed three of their devices will be launched during the holidays, without citing a specific date.

It can be recalled that the camera company initially announced the Karma drone will be released first before the Hero 5. But now that both devices have been delayed, many believe the said action cameras will be launched at the same time during the upcoming holiday season.

Woodman admitted in a previous investor call that their growth rate had become slow by the end of 2014, and sales were not good for the whole 2015. Despite this, Woodman stayed positive. In a recent interview, he said one of the exciting things their brand has offered is the number of people who loves their products be a consumer or not, The Verge reported.

He also acknowledged that their middling sales will be able to get a hold of the market again once their new devices are launched. Woodman confirmed that by the end of this year, the Hero 5, GoPro's first drone and a spherical camera made for general consumers will be launched.

Another offering from GoPro was the previous launching of two powerful mobile editing apps which they bought and re-branded. For the past four months, Replay and Spice have been offered to consumers who do not own any GoPro camera.

Aside from this, the company will also be releasing a desktop editor and a cloud backend by the second half of 2016. With the upcoming software, GoPro users will be able to integrate their whole GoPro experience into a single system.

GoPro Hero 5 is expected to cater to more athletes like runners, cyclists, triathletes and the like, Bike Radar reported. The upcoming wearable camera is expected to sport features like GPS or altimeters, and may be even waterproof at an underwater depth of 60 meters. The camera was also rumored to be focusing on connectivity, thus leaving consumers to expect it may have a Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or other connectivity platform.

More details will be revealed in the coming months as 2016 is more than halfway already. To get more insights on the upcoming action camera, watch the video clip below.
