"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 was recently renewed by FOX, but several cast members have already decided to leave the series.
According to TV Series Finale, cast members Nikki Reed, Abbie Mills, Zach Appelman and Shannyn Sossamon already confirmed their exit from the franchise.
More recently, series regulars Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho have also left the show.
In the past couple of episodes, Gross has played the role of FBI chief Daniel Reynolds. Camacho, on the other hand, gave life to the character of Sophie Foster.
The same publication confirmed that the latter may still be featured in the series in a recurring guest-starring role. The filming for "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 is expected to take place in Washington, D.C. instead of Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Meanwhile, if two old cast members will be leaving the franchise, a slew of new characters will also be introduced in the show.
According to TV Line, the female actress will take the place of Tom Mison's counterpart. Previously, the role was given to Nicole Beharie.
Anna is described as a supernatural skeptic who will eventually get into conflict with Crane.
"She's got a tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor. She's a born leader, but she also has a softer, more caring side which she rarely shows. Anna is fiercely devoted to her 11-year-old daughter Stella, a protective instinct Crane protects and respects," the character description read.
At present, the producers of the show are looking to audition female actors around the ages of 30 and up.
In other news, fans of "Sleepy Hollow" are weighing in on who they think should be cast to play the role of Anna.
One fan @McSatan said that the role should be given to actress Katia Winter.
Another fan @Susannah suggested that the role be given to Lyndie Greenwood.
One fan @Steven said that the producers should just cast Gillian Anderson for the role.
Unfortunately, another fan @Pam Rukiddingme said that Anderson can't be part of the series because she's busy with other engagements.
"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will premiere on FOX sometime this fall.
