Like the Seoul Gangnam Police which is doing a 180-degree turn on the sexual assault charges against Korean actor Park Yoochun, his friend Song Joong-ki appears to have also changed his mind about Chinese dramas.

Last week, Blossom Entertainment, agency of the “Descendants of the Sun” actor song Joong-ki, denied a June report by a Chinese media outlet that the 30-year-old actor is the lead in the upcoming Chinese drama Honey, the Scent of Love." But the agency confirmed it continues to receive a lot of offer for Song Joong-ki to do dramas in South Korea and China and it would look carefully into the offer.

On Monday, Soompi reported that the “Descendants of the Sun” actor is a possible male lead in the Chinese drama whose title was slightly changed to “You, The Scent of Love.”

The report added that his possible female lead is Chinese actress Zheng Shuang, while the production company behind the upcoming drama has former staff of the 16-episode hit drama. Zheng Suang, according to Viki, is a 24-year-old Chinese actress who is a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy. But even before her graduation in 2011, Zheng Suang was already famous as a cast of the hit TV series “Meteor Shower” in 2009 and “Meteor Shower II” in 2010.

Her other movie and TV dramas include “Secret History of Empress Wu,” “Just One Smile is Very Alluring,” “The Three Heroes and Five Gallants,” “Chronicle of Life” and “The Four.”

If Blossom and Song Joong-ki would accept the offer, fans of the KiKyo love team may not like a new pair for the actor because it would dash their hopes of the two “Descendants of the Sun” actors becoming a real-life couple.

The actor told his Hong Kong fans on June 11 that he was going over some scenarios for TV projects in China. But he would need first to finish filming “Battleship Island.” The first 10 days of July was reserved by Blossom for the movie shooting and preparation.
