"I optimistically love the idea of, 'What the hell, Batman versus Iron Man versus Wolverine!' Let's just chuck 'em in," Hugh Jackman said in a recent interview with MTV.
Still hoping for a potential Avengers crossover, Jackman said, "Maybe as these things go on more and more, they'll want to and need to do all that stuff.
"I'm optimistic, I'd think it'd be great, but hey, it's not my billions of dollars behind this promise. It's easy for us to speculate," said Jackman, who is set to star in "Broadway 4D," "Chappie," "Pan," "Eddie The Eagle," "X-Men: Apocalypse," "The Greatest Showman On Earth" and a Wolverine sequel, which is yet to be given an official title.
In 2014, Jackman starred in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" with Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Anna Paquiin, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence, among others.
After earning $262 million worldwide, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" holds the record of the highest opening weekend worldwide among all "X-Men" movies and the biggest Fox International opening weekend in history, Star Tribune reported.
Also, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" opened number 1 in 119 countries.
It appeared that the lawsuit against director Bryan Singer over sexual assault at the time did not stop moviegoers from watching "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which stars Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Patrick Stewart.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" beat its rival "Godzilla" at the box office. Directed by Gareth Edwards, "Godzilla" stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche and Sally Hawkins.
