Jerry's body was discovered around 9:00 pm on July 11, Monday, after a massive search by 30 different law enforcement agencies on 10 acres of property. About two dozen boat, a helicopter and around 80 people were involved in the search.

The body reportedly still had a life jacket on when it was taken out from the water, a witness told News 2. Officials do not believe in the involvement of alcohol in the incident.

"It is with deep sadness that I am confirming the passing of Jerry Greer (19), son of country music entertainer Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer," the family's rep told E! News. "The Humphreys County Sheriff's Department recovered his body this evening after a search that began Sunday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee."

The statement goes on to inform that Jerry was a 2016 graduate of Dickson County High School and had planned to play football for Marshall University in the fall. He is survived by his parents, a sister and two brothers. Funeral arrangement for the teenager is still pending.
