"Sleepy Hollow" alum Nikki Reed is finally breaking her silence regarding Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's steamy scenes in "The Vampire Diaries."

According to Morning Ledger, Reed has expressed her disappointment towards The CW and executive producer Julie Plec for once again considering the return of Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert.

Since season 8 will be the last installment for Reed's husband Somerhalder, the actress wants to make sure that he will have a truly memorable season.

However, Plec, The CW and some Delena fans strongly believe that the best way to make season 8 memorable for Somerhalder is to invite Dobrev back on the show.

Previously, the exec said Dobrev will only return in the finale episode of "The Vampire Diaries." However, Plec didn't clarify that there are other ways to bring back Dobrev's character even though she won't be seen in the series in the flesh.

In season 7, for instance, Dobrev returned in the form of her character's voice and this proved that anything could happen to the show.

At present, Dobrev hasn't confirmed her return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, but it's a most likely sealed deal because Plec said that there's still a chapter about her character that needs to be told.

Not to mention, Dobrev's Elena is a crucial part of the series so her return could spike up the ratings for the once hit The CW show.

Unfortunately, Reed is not on board with all of the rumors and speculations about Dobrev's return. After all, the later and Somerhalder just ended their relationship a few months ago when the actor already decided to get into a relationship with Reed.

A few months later, the couple decided to knot and this move shocked thousands of Delena fans across the globe.

At that time, Dobrev and Somerhalder stayed mum regarding the true reason for their split, but there are some speculations that it could be because of cheating.

Dobrev then started dating Austin Stowell, and the latter was blamed for their split just like Reed.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will premiere on The CW sometime this fall.
