The contracts of several WWE superstars are reportedly close to expiring at the end of July and they could end up being released. According to the latest rumors, Triple H is low-balling these mid-to-low midcard wrestlers to make room for some of his NXT stars.

Triple H is the founder of NXT and he has made the developmental system its own brand. It has produced many superstars such Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, The Wyatt Family and Sami Zayn.

The Game is also the WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, so he has a hand in the decisions regarding signing and releasing talents. According to Daily Wrestling News, wrestlers in the middle and lower cards of the main roster with expiring contracts are being low-balled by Triple H.

Some superstars are reportedly getting low-ball offers on their downside guarantees while others are not getting any contract offers. These could lead to a number of releases at the end of July. The WWE recently released a handful of talents in May including King Barrett, Damien Sandow and Santino Marella.

It should be noted that Triple H wants to free up some roster space to call up several of his NXT talents. However, the final say will always come down WWE chairman Vince McMahon. The release of several lower level talents in the main roster contradicts reports about the brand extension.

According to Wrestling Inc, the WWE is looking to load up their roster for the upcoming brand extension. They have reportedly contacted former superstars and have scouted talents in the independent circuit. The reason for it was to balance the number of talents on the main roster.

Raw and SmackDown will their own distinct rosters and the WWE needs all the talent they can have their hands on. The plan is to have the brands have their roster balanced with the current superstars, the "New Era" stars from NXT and veteran WWE superstars.

The WWE Draft to start the brand extension is just a week away so rumors like this will keep on popping up. If these rumors are true then NXT will be raided of more talents even though there have been no significant addition at developmental besides Bobby Roode.
