Daniel Bryan is currently serving as a color commentator for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and it is his first wrestling gig since retiring in February. According to the latest rumors, Bryan may be coming back to television as the new General Manager of SmackDown.

In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE chairman Vince McMahon announced who will in charge of his company's two main shows. He assigned Stephanie McMahon to Raw and Shane McMahon to SmackDown.

Vinnie Mac instructed his two children find a general manager for their respective shows since their position is the brand's commissioner. According to Daily Wrestling News, the WWE might have leaked who will be chosen as SmackDown's general manager.

It is noted that the WWE App accidentally revealed that Bryan will be the general manager for Shane's SmackDown. The post with a title, "The 'Yes!' Movement takes over SmackDown Live!" has already been taken down but PWMania was able to get a screenshot of it.

Nothing has been confirmed but with Shane being a babyface, he will likely choose a babyface to be his general manager. Bryan is the ultimate babyface and everyone would love to see him on-screen every week.

According to What Culture, the WWE having Bryan as a television character is a great move because the fans have not seen him since his untimely retirement. The majority of the WWE universe loves him and having him on television weekly is a fresh sight considering that The Authority has been ruling segments for the past several years.

On the other hand, it is expected that the heel Stephanie will choose a bad guy to take charge of Raw. Many people are assuming that it would be her husband, Triple H, who has not appeared on WWE television since losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32.

Shane and Bryan running SmackDown is a something to look forward to but The Authority ruling Raw again means the WWE are out of ideas. There is still a big chance that the WWE changes their plans because of the apparent leak to swerve the fans.

Nonetheless, Bryan being back on WWE television is great. He is one of the most beloved superstars in history. The 34-year-old retired from wrestling in February due to a lesion found in his brain that causes seizures. It was the accumulation of countless concussions throughout his 17-year career.
