China has already welcomed Tibetan "Rock Dog" to hit the nation's big screens for Hollywood audiences. Although the movie has been released in China, the language of communication used is English.

"Rock Dog" is based on Chinese rock star Zheng Jun's graphic comic novel, which was first published in 2009. The comic series was based on the bedtime stories that Jun desired to tell his daughter. The animated version of the movie is expected to come as a surprise for audiences of all age groups.

The protagonist of the movie is a Tibetan mastiff, which visits the capital of China, Beijing, and becomes a successful rock and roller. The name of the mastiff is Bodi who was born and brought up in the Himalayas. Though he is expected to become a guard, he pursues his dream of becoming a rock star. The movie has been released in a 3-D format to cheer children as well as comic flick lovers.

The movie has released for the audience all across the globe. The cast and crew associated directly or indirectly with the movie are hopeful that it grabs the attention of not only the Chinese population but also western movie bugs. The maker has picturized the movie to help inculcate good values into people and also spread awareness about the Chinese culture.

The film has been directed by successful Pixar's Toy Story 2 co-director, Ash Brannon. "Rock Dog" is animated by award-winning American digital studio Reel FX.

Popular Director Feng Xiaogang and comic actor Guo Degang and his son, Guo Qilin have dubbed the Chinese version of the movie while its English version has been voiced by numerous Hollywood veteran artists, including the Oscar winner J.K. Simmons.

Zheng, the maker of the movie, said that he had no idea whom to assign the different tasks to develop a proper Hollywood movie for audiences. He, according to The Beijinger, admitted that it was tough making a movie for global audiences as he had to fire several best screenwriters of Hollywood. This was because every writer wanted his ideas to be induced in the flick, which if were done would have made "Rock Dog" lose its uniqueness.

The maker also stated that it was difficult to get funding for the movie. This was mainly because of his inexperience in making Hollywood movies, according to him.

"I am a really crazy person so [the investors] might think only lunatic can make it happen," Zheng, 48, said as quoted by The Wall Street Journal.
