Smith stated that he knows he is coming back to helm episode 7 of the show in the first week of September. It is unknown yet what the plot episode 7 will be, but comic book fans will surely not miss this one, Screenrant reported.

In addition, Smith also wanted to take a shot at directing an episode of "Supergirl" season 2 and teased a possible cameo appearance of Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) alongside Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) since they good chemistry on set.

In other news, a new speedster for "The Flash" season 3 has been revealed following the announcement of Wally West (Keynan Lonsdale) wearing his Kid Flash costume in the series.

Twitter username Hit Screen tweeted that "The Vampire Diaries" actor Todd Lasance will be playing a new speedster on the show and several photos of him on set have been leaked online.

What makes it interesting is that Lasance is wearing a very scary and impressive costume with designs similar to Black Racer and Daniel West hinting that his character could be another evil speedster terrorizing Barry yet again, ComicBookMovie reported.

While Black Racer and Daniel West are the likely possible choices for Barry to fight in season 3, YouTube channel Emergency Awesome claim that Lasance character could be a version of several speedsters such as Johnny Quick of Earth 3, Zavatar, Future Barry Allen or Thaddeus Thawne III/Inertia.

Emergency Awesome added that showrunners of "The Flash" will not use the same formula in revealing the "big bad" this season, but instead appearing as what he is rather than masking himself as a different person similar to Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and Hunter Zolomon/Zoom (Teddy Sears).

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 4 at 8pm on the CW Network.
