Nintendo's mini-NES is a gaming console that includes 30 classic NES games such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy. Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition will not include Internet connectivity or a cartridge slot that opens. The Japanese company shared that it will not release other games after the mini NES console's launch.

Nintendo's portable NES connects to TVs via a HDMI cable. It also uses a classic rectangle NES gamepad that can connect to a Wii Remote to play Virtual Console games on Wii and Wii U systems.

The 30 games built into the miniature console are famous and popular old-school NES games. They include Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Metroid, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and Pac-Man.

Nintendo told Kotaku that the mini-NES will be unable to connect to the Internet or any external storage devices. It is a stand-alone device.

Nintendo also has no plans to add new titles to the 30 games included with the NES handheld. It chose the classic games because they provide high-quality and long-lasting gameplay experiences.

The image of the tiny console released by Nintendo shows that its width is about the same as a NES cartridge. Nintendo confirmed that the Chamber Lid does not open because the console does not use physical media.

NES Classic Edition also includes multiple suspend points. This feature ends the need for Nintendo fans to input NES passwords to start playing again.

The gaming giant also has no plans to release other mini consoles, such as a mini-SNES or mini-N64, according to Kotaku.

Nintendo's NES Classic Edition will be available starting on November 1. It will cost about $60.

In related news, almost 6 percent of all United States-based Android device users were playing Nintendo's Pokemon Go on July 11, Monday. That figure was higher than users of services including Netflix, Pandora, and Twitter, but lower than Facebook and Instagram, according to Fortune.

The new Pokemon game could pass other popular mobile apps. They include photo-sharing service Snapchat and Facebook's messaging app WhatsApp.

Pokemon Go has already passed 15 million downloads on Google Play and Apple's App Store. The GPS and augmented reality (AR) game was launched in the US last week.
