Niantic Labs and The Pokemon Company's latest mobile gaming app "Pokemon Go" has taken many countries by storm with its massive popularity. Here are a few gaming tips for newbies who are looking to level up faster in the game.

There are different game elements and items that can contribute to players leveling up their trainer characters in "Pokemon Go." Gaining experience points (XP) and reaching the required XP requirement will have gamers moving forward to a higher level. A player will even need to reach a certain level to enjoy access to specific gameplay action such as training in gyms.

However, a higher trainer level will also allow gamers to catch more powerful and stronger Pokemon characters. Players should focus on levelling up their trainers in the quickest way possible instead of enhancing a Pokemon's combat power (CP) in the early stages of the game, Tech Insider reported. Players with higher levels will be able to catch Pokemon characters with a higher CP level, as compared to gamers with low levels.

It is also important to save the stardust and candies that a player may have collected in the game. Enhancing a Pokemon's CP will be more beneficial after the character has completed all its evolution stages. The CP boost will be even greater for fully evolved Pokemons.

Another tip is to collect unevolved Pokemon characters and use a Lucky egg to gain more XP. Gamers can earn 100 XP when catching a Pokemon and 500 XP when evolving a Pokemon. However, when a Lucky Egg is used, the XP gain gets doubled. When evolving a Pokemon with a Lucky Egg activated, the XP boost will be 1,000 points, as indicated in the same report.

Gamers can use this strategy to quickly gain XP and level up their trainers faster. Players can evolve as many characters as they can within the 30 minute period that an activated Lucky Egg can double experience points. The same also applies in catching Pokemons, so it is advisable to use a lure or incense during the said period to get double points.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" has surpassed several mobile apps in terms of daily active users since the game's U.S. launch. Data from Similar Web has shown that it has overtaken Netflix, Spotify Music, Twitter, Hangouts and Pandora Radio. The percentage of daily active users recorded on Monday, July 11, indicated that around 5.9 percent of U.S. Android users have played the game.

"Pokemon Go" is expected to continue its rise in daily active users to overtake Snapchat and other smartphone apps.
