The leak comes from a Weibo user with the handle @23NoRi. If authentic, potential Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users can prep themselves on how to setup and calibrate the iris scanner feature once they get hold of the device.

The shared images share the instructions that will likely be included in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 manual. When the device is powered on, the most notable thing that users will need to remember that they have to be 25-35 cm. away from the phablet according to iDigital Times.

The ‘circles’ on the setup screen will require user’s to align their eyes on screen. From there, users will be required to draw patterns with the dotted pad. The pad is similar to the security measure done using fingers when unlocking the device.

The leak becomes the most detailed information for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 thus far. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered though like setup confirmation or other functions tied up to the phablet.

Recent patents cropped up claiming that the iris scanner will be camera-based, Patently Mobile reported. This could hint at possibly seeing more sensors up front once the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 officially comes out.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 this Aug. 2 at an Unpacked event. Aside from the iris scanner feature, other things to watch out for include the 5.7-inch quad HD display, the S-Pen stylus, 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage (expandable through microSD), a 12 MP main camera, 1 5 MP front-facing shooter and a 3,600 mAh battery.

There is still no word on its official processor though it boils down to a choice between a Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos SoC. According to Forbes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will cost roughly 799 EUROS over in Europe.
