From the beginning of the year, the fans have been waiting for the release of Lorde's new album in 2016, and finally she has revealed that she has got some great ideas for the upcoming tracks.

The "Royals" singer went on a three day wandering around trip in the woods, and that gave clarity to her imagination and creativity, Billboard reported. ''Took a helicopter out into the wilderness spent 3 days alone writing and made some of the most exciting breakthroughs on this record so far'' was her Twitter post which brought a wave of happiness to her fans.

After a short hiatus, Lorde was back in the studio in the beginning of the year, and is working on her second studio album now. In 2013, she had released her debut album ''Pure Heroine.'' She was the inspiration and creator of the soundtrack for the movie ''The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.'' She produced the song "Yellow Flicker Beat'' for this soundtrack and lent her voice for remaining songs too.

She had started working on her second album since December 2013, however, her constant participation in music shows, festivals and award shows did not leave her with much time to devote for her second album. Since Lorde gives creativity a lot of importance, she wanted to take time to create the second album which would be much different from her first one.

In June 2014, when she was asked about the progress of the album, she mentioned ''I am in the very beginning of the process.'' Even though her creativity supersedes everything and she churns music fast, this one is taking longer than expected, Bustle reported. ''Most of what Lorde played me in demos back in 2013 ended up on the final edition of the album and that the whole process took less than a year'' confirmed Joel Little, her production partner during the production days of her first album.

The theme of her first album was of a suburban teenage girl who was discovering adulthood and was learning the nuances of it too. However, now since Lorde is a matured young lady, it seems that the theme will be much deeper. In her first album she had added many snapshots from her own life and had expressed her angst against many things which she does not approve of. It is possible that the second album will have more acceptance and less rebellious undertones.
