After being aggressively attacked by judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon on national television, "X Factor" contestant Joe Irvine started to gain sympathy and support from different artist on social media sites, one of which is his fellow New Zealander Lorde.

Irvine expressed his graditude to Lorde as he shared on his twitter account a photo of the personal note and lovely cupcakes that the artist sent him.

On a personal written letter, Lorde expressed her sympathy and cheered the contestant saying, "Your individuality, positive energy and spirit are infectious."

"No matter how many people make fun of me for how I dress, move and act, I'm being me and that's what's important." Lorde adds, referring into how she can relate to Irvine's situation, since both has their fair share of criticisms regarding their image and style.

The "X Factor" contestant became an instant online sensation after the televised bullying last Sunday.

Called as disgusting, creepy and lacks the sense of originality by Kills, Irvine who was trying to fight his tears instantly gained popularity and support from fans and artists.

According to News Everyday, Singer songwriter Ed Sheran also expressed his support on his twitter account saying: "Enjoy yourself with it, that's what singing is about".

Meanwhile neitizens expressed their support to the "X Factor" contestant by breaking out a social media firestorm attacking Kills. Dailymail reports.

Photos of that compares the controversial judge's image to Lady Gaga, Cleopatra and even Dora The Explorer, spread all over social media like a wild fire.

Irvine expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters on his recent video posted on YouTube.
