It is said that Microsoft's latest flagship, Microsoft Surface Phone, is going to be released by the end of the year; however, latest rumors are pointing to a 2017 release date for Microsoft's newest handset.
The rumor sparked after a software developer, Shubhan Chemburkah, tweeted a photo of what seems to be some Microsoft Surface devices. It was said that Chemburkah went to the office of the giant tech company, specifically in building 88. From there, he saw a set of pictures of Surface gadgets posted on a glass wall, Technology News Extra reported.
According to the same publication, the devices were the Surface Book, Surface Book 2, Surface Pro 4, Surface Pro 5 and the gossiped AIO Surface Desktop. The report also cited that there are 4 empty images with a caption of 2017. With that said, rumors are loud that among those 4 devices could be the Microsoft Surface Phone.
The publication noted the silence of Microsoft in regards to the release date of their upcoming flagship smartphone. Despite of this, reports indicates that various sources hinted an early 2017 release date for the Microsoft Surface Phone.
On the other hand, in regards to the possible specification and price of the upcoming smartphone, speculation suggest that the device would have a selling price of about $700 to $1,100, and will come in 3 versions in terms of RAM and storage capacity, Trusted Reviews has learned.
According to the same publication, the Surface Phone may come in a 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage, a 6GB of RAM with a 128GB storage, and an 8GB of RAM with a 500GB storage capacity. The same publication also cited that the device may run on a Snapdragon 830 processor, a 5.7 inch capacitive display with a QHD screen resolution, and a 21 megapixel rear camera.
As of the moment, Microsoft has not released any official information regarding the Surface Phone, but gadget enthusiasts are said to be expecting that in the coming months, the tech giant will finally reveal some details of the device.
