"Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong Ki had a little moment on stage. The 30-year-old Hallyu star broke down in tears during his final fan tour meeting event in Shanghai, China on July 16, Saturday.
The actor successfully concluded his "2016 Song Joong Ki Asia Tour Fan Meeting" on July 16, Saturday, after holding nine shows and meeting thousands of fans across Asia. During the final fan tour event, Song became emotional as he started reading his letter of gratitude for his Shanghainese fans.
"I had a lot of concern as I started out on this Asia tour," The Kpop Herald quoted the actor as saying before a predominantly Chinese crowd. "I gave a lot of thoughts on whether I am truly worthy of all your love."
Song goes ahead to say that in the brief time of four months, his mindset seemingly changed a lot. Although he cannot put into words every single thing on his mind, the actor continued expressing his profound gratitude to the fans by stating that he is now more confident than before because of all the love he received.
The Hallyu star began to tear up as he used the opportunity to also thank his parents and mentors, who were present in the said event. Fans then have taken to social media to post several videos and pictures.
"To my dear teachers and parents, although I am usually a timid person who cannot express himself well, I want to say I love you to my dad and mom," said Song, whose tears keep on flowing as say his grateful words towards his parents.
The actor also thank his dear friends and colleagues who appeared as a special guest in his fan tour meetings. He added that there are times that he would ask himself whether he deserve receiving so much love from everyone.
Tickets for Song's last fan tour meeting in Shanghai, China had been sold for as much as 1.2 million won ($1,060) on the black market, six times the original price, China Christian Daily reported. His Asia tour covered 10 cities: Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Taipei, and Shanghai.
