Sony is eyeing the US market and it is evident from the last month's launch of the Xperia X and two consecutive launches a few days back. The Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA are now sold through US retailers like Best Buy, Regan Wireless and Amazon. Another jumbo-sized model, the Xperia XA Ultra, is likely to go on sale in just a few days on Sunday July 24.

As for the Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA, both the smartphones will be available unlocked and no carriers will be involved. While the Xperia XA is available with a 64GB card and is priced at $279.99, the Xperia X Performance comes packed with a 128GB SanDisk microSD card and costs you &699.99.

Visit the Sony Mobile US website, where you will find the links to the two smartphones for purchase. It should be noted that both the smartphones will work on most of LTE/GSM carriers like T-Mobile and AT&T, but are inactive on Sprint and Verizon, Phone Arena reported.

Customers have four color options to choose from for the Sony Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA that include Graphite Black, Lime Gold, Rose Gold and White. Appearing in 5-inch screen size, both the Xperia XA and X Performance have varying screen pixel resolutions with the former boasting 720p and the latter having 1080p.

The Xperia X Performance is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the Xperia XA is fuelled by MediaTek MT6755 processor. RAM is different in both phones as the Xperia X Performance has a 3GB of RAM and the Xperia XA has 2GB of RAM.

The good news is both phones have expandable memory option up to 200GB with a micro SD card slot. However, the built-in memory of the Xperia X Performance is more at 32GB than the Xperia XA that comes with a 16GB memory space.

Both rear and front camera features are higher in the Xperia X Performance, which is 23MP for the rear and 13MP for the front. On the contrary, the Xperia XA has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Battery strength is even larger in the Xperia X Performance, which is 2,700 mAH and 2,300mAH for the Xperia XA. The only thing common in these phones is the Android M software, Android Authority reported.
