As fall comes nearer, speculation about what to expect in "Arrow" Season 5 draw in. There have been several theories as to who Oliver Queen may face in the upcoming season; however, it appears that one of the baddies in "Arrow" Season 5 is someone Oliver himself created.

In the San Diego Comic-Con issue of TV Guide, "Arrow" producer Wendy Mericle unleashed new information about Season 5. One of the big reveal was that one of the villains is related to Oliver's killing spree in the first season.

"[Season 5's villain] is somebody Oliver unwittingly created in Season 1 when he was a killer in a hood," Screen Crush quoted Mericle as saying. "This guy is going to be collateral damage who lost someone to the Hood and [has] spent the last several years training and plotting for revenge. He will be a true dark mirror to Oliver Queen."

The description seems to coincide with the previous rumors that "Arrow" Season 5 will introduce a series regular named James. This character was described as a "man on a mission" and is gunning for revenge after losing someone in his life many years ago.

Interestingly, actor Stephen Amell teased that the big bad in "Arrow" Season 5 does not have superpowers.

While the number of the Green Arrow's nemesis grows larger, so too does his own team. Joining Team Arrow in "Arrow" Season 5 is Wild Dog, who will be played by Rick Gonzalez, who previously appeared in "Mr. Robot" and "Rosewood." The skilled gunslinger is a new vigilante in Star City, but because of his reckless demeanor, the Green Arrow mentors him, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Having a rookie vigilante under his wing could be a good thing for the Green Arrow as Star City is "overrun with crime" in "Arrow" Season 5. When the show returns, viewers will see the city enveloped in corruption and gang violence.

Meanwhile, "Arrow" Season 5 will also see Oliver's return to politics as interim mayor of Star City.

"Arrow" Season 5 will premiere on Oct. 5, Wednesday, on The CW.
