Former WWE champion Roman Reigns was suspended for 30 days on June 21 for his violation of the WWE's Wellness Policy. According to the latest rumors, Reigns reportedly tested positive for Adderall, a type of amphetamines.

Many fans were surprised when Reigns dropped the WWE title cleanly to Seth Rollins with Dean Ambrose cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase. The news of his suspension quickly broke so the mystery of the title change was solved.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), The Big Dog tested positive for Adderall. It is a type of amphetamines that is usually prescribed for people with narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, more commonly known as ADHD.

It should be noted that Reigns testing for Adderall is not 100 percent confirmed but people will believe that it is the drug he tested positive for. There is no additional information why he was using it, but he could be using it to treat a sleep disorder.

WWE superstars, especially the next face of the company, will have trouble getting normal sleep due to the rigorous schedule. The stress of achieving what the WWE wants, as well as the pain of taking bumps while wrestling, will certainly affect anyone.

If Reigns indeed got popped for Adderall, he should have consulted first with the WWE's doctors what his condition was and the right medicine for it. Nevertheless, he was caught using an illegal substance under the WWE Wellness Policy.

According to Wrestling Inc, Adderall is a stimulant that helps the user be more attentive and focused. It also controls behavioral problems and helps many sleep disorders. However, it should not be used to battle exhaustion or by people without sleeping problems.

Despite being a drug that is used to treat ADHD, Adderall is a banned substance for several sports leagues in the United States including the MLB, NCAA, NFL and apparently, WWE. The suspension of Reigns officially ended on July 21 and he is expected to make his in-ring return before Battleground.

Reigns will be wrestling at a WWE Live Event in Wildwood, New Jersey on July 23. He then makes his television return at Battleground main event, challenging Ambrose for the WWE championship along with Rollins in a Triple Threat Match.
