Fans of the great singing sensation Adele have some great news to cheer about as the singer is all set to make her acting debut in a Hollywood film. The "Hello" singer would work alongside "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington and Natalie Portman.

Yahoo Movie states that the 28-year-old British singer is planning to shoot for "The Death and Life of John F. Donovan" in the USA during the two-week break she has planned for her current tour. And though no official confirmation has come from the singer or the film's team, it cannot be denied that the report has some semblance of credibility.

This is because the director of the said movie, Xavier Dolan, is also the one who oversaw the production of her hit video single "Hello" in the past. According to Irish Mirror Adele was in no mood to become a full-time actress, but Dolan convinced her as he thought she could bring a lot to the screen. And since she enjoyed working with him, she said yes to the project.

Notably, the project boasts about an impressive cast of actors. It stars Oscar-winning actress Portman and Jon Snow of the "Game of Thrones" fame. Others actors on board include Jessica Chastain, Kathy Bates, Bella Thorne, Michael Gambon and Susan Sarandon.

As for Adele's role, she is not going to have much of screen space and it would be a small one, but pretty substantial. Well, fans are always eager to see their favorite singer and if she comes to the big screen, it could not get better than this. The Global superstar is a talented artist and knows how to manage her time.

Despite her super busy schedule, she is taking out time to work with her director friend and we really appreciate it. No wonder, MTV is also rumored to be in talks with her to perform at the grand Video Music Awards scheduled to be held on August 28, at the Madison Square Garden, in New York City.
