In "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" Season 2 episode 5, fans can expect to see the Shokugeki match between Soma Yukihira and Subaru Mimasaka begins, as Gin Dojima announces himself and four other alumni, namely, Hinako Inui, Sonaka Kikuchi, Fuyumi Mizuhara, and Taki Tsunozaki as the judges.
"Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" Season 2 episode 4, which aired on July 23, saw Takumi Aldini and Subaru went head to head in a Shokugeki battle after the latter insulted the former's younger brother and his Mezzaluna. The previous episode ended with Subaru being pronounced as a champ, advancing to the main tournament semi-finals. Hence, he claimed Takumi's Mezzaluna.
Early spoilers are now out in Manga Reader and it appears that Soma will seek aid from Erina Nakiri, as he proceeds with his preparation for the eagerly awaited semi-final Shokugeki. The dish to be cooked is Beef Stew, a Western Style dish.
Spoilers suggest that Soma and Mitsuru Sōtsuda will personally visit Erina in hopes of having the latter critique Soma's beef stew for his upcoming Shokugeki. Wielding the best palate in the world, "God's Tongue" and a member of the famous Nakiri family, Erina is currently the 10th seat of the Elite Ten Council.
After a single taste, Erina regarded that Soma's beef stew would be incredible for a typical restaurant, but not for the tournament itself. She told Soma that he did not understand the theme of the challenge, but before the latter could inquire further information, she expeditiously denied him any help and forced him to leave.
On the day of the semi-finals, Erina arrived at the Arena to watch Soma's match against Subaru, expecting him to lose in view of her previous critique. It remains to be seen whether Subaru will defeat Soma in "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" Season 2 episode 5.
It is important to note that the two decided that if Subaru lost, he would need to give back all 100 knives he had won from his previous Shokugekis. However, in the event that he wins, Soma will quit being a chef forever.
Helmed by Yoshitomo Yonetani, "Food Wars: Shougeki No Soma" Season 2 premiered on July 2. The second season is somewhat shorter than its predecessor, having only 13 episodes, Anime News Network reported.
