Rumors claimed that former 2NE1 member Gong Minzy will join Mnet's new dance reality show "Hit The Stage".
Minzy made a name in the K-Pop world being one of the best dancers among girl groups. She was one of the top main dancers during their time alongside SNSD's Kim Hyoyeon and 4Minute's Kim Hyuna.
"Hit The Stage" is a perfect chance for Minzy to kick off and propel her solo activities. Reports claimed that Minzy is prepping for her solo debut under her new label Music Works. There is no definite date as to when Minzy will be back on stage.
However, it is understandable that networks have a hard time casting idols that once belonged to a group and left their label. It is known that Mnet has produced a number of reality shows for YG Entertainment like BigBang's Documentary, 2NE1 TV, WIN: Who Is Next? and Mix and Match. There is an unspeakable pressure from a big label that hinder Mnet's from casting Minzy.
Meanwhile, the much anticipated "Hit The Stage" will kick off on July 27. It features some of the best dancers among K-Pop idols such as Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, SISTAR's Bora, INFINITE's Hoya, Block B's U-Kwon, MONSTA X's Shownu, TWICE's Momo, and NCT U's Ten.
The show, titled 'Hit The Stage', will have idols and stars partnering up with professional dancers to compete under a given theme in all types of dance genres such as street, modern dance, dancesport, and more. Each episode is said to feature new idol stars and new mentors.
Other reports claimed that Jang Hyunseung, Kim Chungha, and FeelDog. The second episode's panel includes Park Jun Hyung, Moon Hee Joon, Lee Guk Joo, Koo Jun Yeob, Bae Yoon Jung, Kwanghee, Park Na Rae, Moon Ji Ae, and J-black.
