Recent reports suggest that Android 7.0 Nougat will be released on August 5, 2016.

The Android platform will be released with the latest security patch, according to Evan Blass.

The search giant Google has already rolled out the Android N Developer Preview 5. The Developer preview  has integrated system images for Google Nexus devices, emulator for testing their app before uploading to Play Store. Furthermore, the Android N Developer preview 5 includes new user interface, system behaviors, final APL level 24 and bug fixes.

The Android 7.0 Nougat will concentrate on graphics and enhanced runtime performance. In addition, the Android platform will feature JIT compiler that is capable of improved app installations.

It decreases the compiled code by 50% including optimizing memory consumption and battery consumption. The Android 7.0 Nougat will have improved Doze mode.

Reports suggest that the Android N will offer file-based encryption. Picture in picture and Java 8, the addition of multi-window with split screen, improved multi-tasking and direct reply feature are some of the other features that will be included with Android Nougat. The latest platform will integrate Daydream virtual reality technology.

With Android 7.0 N, users can group multiple notifications from the same app. Speculations are making the rounds that the tech company Google is working on to make its own Android phone. The smartphone will be capable of receiving new updates faster than other devices.

Sailfish and Marlin are two forthcoming Nexus devices that will contain Android 7.0 Nougat right from the shelf, According to reports, the two phones are designed by HTC. Sailfish is expected to feature 5.2 inch display with 420 ppi pixel density.

It is said that the smartphone will sport Snapdragon 820 chipset and the newest Android operating system, Android 7.0 Nougat. Marlin, on the other hand, will feature bigger screen, 5.5 inch. The two handsets will include USB type C.

Several reports claim that the Nexus 2016 rear camera will have 12 megapixel rear shooter and front camera will feature 8 megapixel shooter. According to a BGR report, the design of HTC Marlin looks identical to HTC 10.
