Actor Tyler Posey has rendered a Twitter apology for his recent Snapchat video that many interpreted as a signal of his coming out. He has apologized to the LGBT community and also clarified that he is not gay.
The "Teen Wolf" star, in his statement, said that he is a big proponent of love over hate and stands together with the LGBT community during these divisive times. He also said sorry to the people who felt offended with his video, Entertainment Weekly reported. He made it clear that he never intended to lessen the act of "coming out" and all he wanted was to spread love.
In the meantime, Charlie Carver, "Teen Wolf" alum has come out after Posey's video released and it has delighted the latter, a good deal. Posey said that it is so great and he thinks that it is getting easier and easier for people to do it. He also pointed out seeing two young boys going to school, holding hands, while he was driving and acknowledged that he totally got it.
Notably, Posey had posted a video on Snapchat while hanging out with his friends. It showed him standing in front of a sign for Gay Street and he was seen exclaiming that it was him and that he had never felt more alive, Yahoo reported. He signed off with yelling that he was gay.
Well, Posey's act has certainly drawn ire of fans, but the good thing is that he has apologized without any ado. Also, the incident has revived his former "Teen Wolf" co-star Colton Haynes' coming out. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this year, Haynes, who is a gay, had termed the rumors of him being a gay complete shock when they were floating around.
He admitted that he should have made a comment but he was not ready for it as he did not feel like he owed anyone anything. However, he acknowledged that everyone has to make those decisions when they are ready and he was not ready yet.
