AMD has finally announced the final specs of their Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 460 as the release date nears in a couple of days.

The company launched the Radeon RX 480 several weeks ago and it has seen a roller coaster ride of impressions. Initially, users were disappointed to know that there was a power draw problem with the card itself but AMD quickly released an update that temporarily alleviates the issue.

While there are no RX 470 and RX 460 reviews yet, people are hoping that they would not succumb to the same fate of their bigger brother the RX 480. The cards will be powered by AMD's new Polaris 10 and Polaris 11, respectively.

PC gamers who still have 1080p monitors will be glad to know that the Radeon RX 470 will still be able to provide high-performance gaming without breaking the bank. AMD's RX 470 will have 4GB of GDDR5 RAM and a boost clock of 1206MHz from a core clock of 926MHz, NDTV has learned.

Since the RX 480 is already priced at a minimum of $199, there is hope that the RX 470 will have a price range of about $150 to $160 which easily beats the GTX 1060 from NVIDIA in terms of price. However, the Polaris 10 card is better suited for those who just want to have decent framerates in their games that run on a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 460 is being marketed towards those who play eSports games. It will come in 2GB and 4GB variants with a boost clock of 1200MHz from 1090MHz which could make it a decent overclocker along with the 75W TDP.

AMD could sell the Radeon RX 460 $50 cheaper than the RX 470, Neurogadget reported. It could be the ultimate video card for budget gamers who are not looking to play the latest AAA games out in the market such as the new Mirrors Edge: Catalyst or even The Witcher 3.

Radeon RX 460 owners will be able to play Valve's Dota 2, Riot's League of Legends and even Team Fortress 2. It is now known yet whether the RX 460 will be able to handle Blizzard's Overwatch but it could probably run it on the lowest settings.

AMD is expected to finally release the Radeon RX 470 for around $150 on August 4 while the Radeon RX 460 is anticipated to be released on August 8 at around $99. Reviews and benchmarks will pop up soon.
