NASA To Provide The Live Coverage Of Spacewalks, First Airing On Saturday’s Spacewalk

NASA will be providing the live telecast from the United States International Space Station as the two astronauts, Barry Wilmore and Terry Virts, begin the first of three schedules spacewalks this year.  

U.S. astronaut Terry Virts, Flight Engineer for Expedition 42 and U.S. Astronaut Barry Wilmore, Expedition 42 Commander, will be connecting data and power cables to the port and starboards sides of the Pressurized Mating Adapter-2 to the front end of the Harmony section where two new International Docking Adapters will be installed later in the year, NASA reported.

Boeing created the two new docking adapters and these will be delivered using a pair of SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft within the year as well.

NASA Television will provide the live coverage of the US spacewalk at 6AM EST. This Saturday's spacewalk (and the following EVAs) is scheduled to commence at around 7:10AM and will run for about six and a half hours, according to The Weather Network.

Expedition 42 Commander Barry Wilmore and Flight Engineer Terry Virts will be attempting to go around outside the orbital complex on Saturday as the first scheduled spacewalks.
