Reports say that Apple is going to release the iPad Mini 5 along with the iPhone 7 and Macbook Pro 2016. It is said that the new devices will be released in this year's fall.
If Evan Blass, a well-known Twitter leaker has not mistaken, iPhone 7 along with its variants and other Apple products will be released early September. While the exact date of the release is still unknown, Apple fans are excited about the iPad Mini 5's new upgrade, Latin Times reported.

The new iPad Mini 5 is reported to be thinner that its predecessor. iPad Mini 4 is 6.1mm thick while the new model is only 5mm thin. This clearly indicates the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack from the device, just like the iPhone 7, so it will be using wireless head/earphones.
It is also said that Apple is going to keep the 7.9-inch display since the iPad mini is known for that size. The camera might not be upgraded as well so expect an eight megapixel main camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera.
Reports also said that the iPad Mini 5 will be using a weaker battery compared to 5,124 mAh battery of the iPad Mini 4. However, the new device will be using A9 processor that consumes less power compared to old A8 chip that the iPad Mini 4 is using. A9 processor will provide a better display resolution and a better gaming graphic experience.
With regards to operating system, the iPad Mini 5 might come with pre-installed iOS 10. The Apple's new operating system has some rumored features which includes Dark Mode. This will give the iPad Mini 5 a dark background instead of the default white background normally found on current devices, as reported by Macworld.
Moreover, Apple is said to be using a new material for the device's body. The Series 7000 aluminum is stiffer and lighter compared to the first type of aluminum they used. This new material will be used for the iPad Mini 6 as well as iPhone 6S.
It is also expected that the iPad Mini 5 will be released in three internal storage variants: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, Neurogadget reported. Prices may also vary depending on internal storage capacity. Expected prices are $450, $500 and $600.
