Winning Best Supporting Actress as the César Award 2015 on Feb. 21, "Twilight" star Kirsten Stewart is the very first American recipient of an award from the French equivalent of the Oscars since its inception in 1976.

During her acceptance speech, which was very hard to watch, Stewart tried to speak in French until she shifted to English and began thanking people behind the psycho-drama "Clouds Of Sils Maria," which earned her the award. Before her speech, she also refused to touch the trophy.

Written and directed by Olivier Assayas, "Clouds Of Sils Maria" also starred "If I Stay" actress Chloe Grace Moretz, Juliette Binoche, Lars Eidinger, Johnny Flynn, Angela Winkler, Hanns Zischler, Nora von Waldstatten, Brady Corbet, Claire Tran, Peter Farkas, Stuart Manashil and Ben Posener, among others.

Backstage, Stewart told reporters that she prefers it a little bit in France, where the reasons why people make movies are "very different from the reasons why people make movies in Hollywood," Variety reported.

Stewart also told the reporters that she will star in another French movie but refused to give any further details. She has also completed "Anesthesia" and is set to appear in upcoming films "Equals" and "American Ultra."

Robert Pattinson's "Twilight" co-star also starred with 2015 Academy Award Best Actress nominee Julianne Moore in "Still Alice," which was written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland based on Lisa Genova's novel. The film adaptation also starred Alec Baldwin, Hunter Parrish, Seth Gilliam, Stephen Kunken, Daniel Gerroll and Quincy Tyler Bernstine, among others.
