Singer Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch Winehouse, 59, turned heads recently when he stepped out at a charity event with an almost identical lookalike of his daughter. He was attending an event in memory of the late British songwriter in Los Angeles.

According to the Daily Mail, Mitch intentionally recreated signature red carpet moments alongside Frankie Jordan, who displayed an uncanny likeness to his daughter. Jordan, who appeared in the "American Idol" show as a finalist, is reportedly cast in a new tribute show about the singer.

Last month marked the fifth death anniversary of the "Rehab" singer. Her father who set up a foundation soon after her death, attended a function organized by the trust. Jordan who was in attendance wore the singer's favorite outfit as photographed by the media when she was presented with a Grammy Award in 2008.

Supported by the Winehouse family, Jordan has reportedly received their blessings to impersonate the young singer. She was first introduced to the family when Mitch reached out to her through her Instagram account.

The impersonator soon after took to her social media account to post a picture of meeting Mr. Winehouse. She remarked that they spent much time talking about the late singer.

Me and Mitch Winehouse! Meeting him was better than expected all we talked about was Amy. It was beautiful. #mitchwinehouse

The "You Know I'm No Good" singer died of alcohol poisoning just five years into her music career which was beginning to take off. Since her passing, many artistes and performers have paid tribute to the singer and songwriter. Among those tributes includes a documentary about her life and the beginnings of her career titled "Amy."

The film "Amy" directed by Asif Kapadia, earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary and won Best Documentary at the BAFTAs in 2015. However, Mr. Winehouse was displeased with the manner in which his daughter was portrayed an attacked the team behind the film. Mr. Winehouse constantly slammed Kapadia's work and referred to it as "hurtful to the family," the publication reported.

Owing to the growing feud between the two, Winehouse decided to set the record straight with a new tribute show called "Dear Amy." The show is to be the latest in a string of tributes, Daily Record reported. Jordan having received Mr. Winehouse's approval has been cast in the lead role.
