Tickets for the China tour are already available since July 22 with a price range of 288 to 588 yuan or about $43 to $88.

Aside from the songs from their latest album dubbed as "Taking One for the Team," the group intends to perform some of their greatest hits through the years including the reggae jam from "Singing in the Rain" as well as the slow mix from "Perfectly Perfect."

In an email, Simple Plan rhythm guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre told the Global Times how difficult it was to create an album that would win over a new generation considering that it had been five years since they entered the limelight.

"It was a little bit long. We are not the kind of band that puts out albums quickly just to get back on tour, as you have noticed. We want to make sure that every song on the album could be someone's favorite," he wrote, adding that they intend to deliver new things and bring the soul of the band to their fans.

Explaining how they decided on a theme for their new album, drummer Chuck Comeau explained that being in a band is so much similar to being on a team which is what they want to express in their newest project.

"We win and lose together; we go through highs and lows. Being in a band also implies that each member often has to make sacrifices for the greater good and over the last 17 years, we've all done that and put the band first before ourselves," he explained.
