Meanwhile, according to The Verge report, Niantic Labs has introduced permanent account bans for cheaters. The developer said that their goal is to provide a legitimate, fun and fair game experience for everybody.

Niantic further said that they will continue to work with all gamers to enhance the quality of the gameplay. If players think that their account has been terminated in error, they can appeal that termination through the form. Players should not post appeals on social media for privacy reasons.

According to reports, if players get banned for life, they can still submit an appeal. However, it is not known whether a player's appeal will lead to the ban being removed or how long the company will take to consider their appeal.
