WrestleMania 33 is still about seven months away but several matches are reportedly being planned. According to the latest rumors, one possible match for the biggest wrestling event of 2017 includes the members of the McMahon Family.
Shane McMahon shocked the wrestling world when he returned earlier this year to claim what is rightfully his. His father and WWE chairman, Vince McMahon, put him in a match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 and lost.
However, Shane was granted authority to run Monday Night Raw with his sister, Stephanie McMahon. The WWE reintroduced the brand extension and Shane was named SmackDown Live commissioner while Stephanie was appointed to Raw.
Shane-O-Mac is currently signed as a performer but the feeling backstage is that Vince is willing to give him a managerial role, per The Inquisitr. It is noted that Stephanie is unhappy with the fact that his brother is still with the WWE despite the initial plan being only in a feud with The Undertaker.
Vince apparently likes the real-life tension between his kids and he wants them to work hard to bring out the best in each other. Even though Shane has said in several interviews that he does not want to take an executive position in the WWE, his sister does not trust it.
According to All Wrestling News, one of the rumored matches for WrestleMania 33 is Shane vs. Triple H, who is the real-life husband of Stephanie and an executive with the WWE. The idea is that it will be a Loser Leaves WWE Match but there seems to be a problem.
Triple H reportedly does not want to work with his brother-in-law in any way, especially in a match at the biggest stage of them all. The Game has not appeared on WWE television since losing the WWE World Heavyweight championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32.
It should be noted that these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. The WWE tends to change their plans once information gets leaked out online and into the public.
WrestleMania 33 will be held in Orlando, Florida on April 7, 2017 at the Camping World Stadium. It will be the second WrestleMania held in the stadium and third to be held in the state of Florida. Check out the video below to see Shane and Stephanie celebrate the "New Era."
