LG is expected to reveal the complete V20 specs and features in September but a Reddit threat may have given way to unveiling the release date of the first Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone.

One Reddit user in a T-Mobile subreddit shared the possible LG V20 release date which is expected to be on September 23 which is several weeks after it has been revealed. The LG V20 is anticipated to follow the unexpected success of the LG V10 but many are already disappointed that the company is just going to the same failed route they traversed with the LG G5 which did poorly in sales and reviews.

Pre-orders are also claimed to be set on September 14 which is a week after the LG V20's unveiling on September 6, TechnoBuffalo has learned. The subreddit also revealed the alleged LG V20 price which is $650 for the whole payment scheme.

Monthly payments have not been revealed and it may depend on each individual carrier with their data plans and such. Pricing for other countries and continents such as in Australia, United Kingdom and Asia may also vary.

LG might also provide different add-ons for the V20 which could make use of the modular features of the smartphone, Android Authority reported. The add-ons may include an "Enhanced Hand Grip," a "Memory Module Attachment" and a whole-year Hulu subscription plus three Vudu rentals.

Carriers could give the add-ons on selected data plans but more details are expected from the companies themselves after the unveiling of the LG V20. Some users are already holding off of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which costs about $200 more, to buy the LG V20.

LG as also recently boasted that the V20 will be the first smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, beating the Google Nexus 2016 smartphones. It would be the smartphone with the latest updates once it rolls out in September.

Following the success of the LG V10's audio prowess, the LG V20 will also include a 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC for those users with high-quality headphones. LG even claims that it will be even better than the DAC found on the LG V10.
