LG has been reportedly giving out lucky G5 users the chance to try out the Android 7.0 Nougat version on their devices and the fortunate ones are located outside the United States.

Most Android updates from LG are rolled out first in South Korea and other Asian markets before they even hit the U.S. and it seems like the trend will continue. LG has said that the G5 Android 7.0 Nougat preview is only limited to about 2000 people.

There are only several devices that have Android 7.0 previews available from the manufacturers. Sony currently has the Xperia Z3 and Xperia X Performance phones with the Nougat preview and the LG G5 is now following suit, Android Police has learned.

One of the requirements for the LG G5 Nougat preview is that the user must be located in South Korea. It could be seen as a homecourt advantage for users who are looking to see what the new Android 7.0 version offers for their device.

LG seems to be beating all the other Android smartphones to the punch when it comes to the Android 7.0 Nougat version despite their late G5 preview. The upcoming LG V20 smartphone, which is slated to be released in September, is expected to be the first model to run the new Android version out of the box beating the Google Nexus 2016 devices.

Users in South Korea with their LG G5 can download the OS Preview application from Google play Store, Engadget reported. Those outside the home country of LG can still just sideload the update but they would not be able to send validated comments regarding the Android 7.0 Nougat preview.

Google has recently just unveiled Nougat as the official name of their new 7.0 version. Android users are expecting the new version to fix all of the problems of the previous Lollipop and Marshmallow updates.

LG G5 users in South Korea can now see whether Google has significantly improved their operating system with the Android 7.0 Nougat preview for their device. The LG V20 is slated for release on September 23 with the unveiling set for September 6.
