A recent underage pornography scandal involves a 14-year-old South Carolina girl and a toddler.
The teen, whose name has not been unveiled. was arrested by authorities after having posted a Facebook video performing sexual acts on a 3-year-old child on Feb. 19, Huffington Post reported.
In charge of the case is Orangeburg County sheriff Leroy Ravenell, who said in a statement, "This is a devastating case where an innocent child is being abused and taken advantage of by someone whom the child should have been able to trust."
A nearby resident alerted the designated county sheriff of the lewd minor pornography act when the said video materialized on Facebook. The accused was said to be not aware of committing anything wrong.
According to the teen, she came home drunk from a party. She revealed that she might have made a sexual video of the toddler at the time, but could not accurately remember. However, she did recall of sending a video to her ex-boyfriend that night from home.
As investigations get underway, the teen has been now placed on hold at a juvenile facility on Feb. 20, according to the New York Daily News.
In addition, Ravenell said that the Department of Social Services in South Carolina has acquired custody of the other two kids whom the 14-year-old lived with.
The parents of the teen also spoke about the issue. They claimed that they never leave their children home alone and emphasized that their 14-year-old daughter had never sexually abused the 3-year-old toddler.
