Rumors and leaks are slowly becoming a part of a global hunt with the newest devices and their impressive specifications. Due to this, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei immediately rejected a spawning rumor on a GFXBench result indicating what is believed to be the miniature version of the OnePlus 3.
NDTV reported that the benchmark listing on GFXBench showed a smartphone with a 4.6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display that was powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC and an Adreno 530 GPU. The phone also features 6GB of RAM and has inbuilt storage of 64GB. It was then speculated to be a variant of OnePlus, specifically OnePlus 3 Mini.
However, Pei took it to his terms and replied on a link to the speculations on Twitter by saying "No," followed by "#rumorshutdown," which could indicate that the listing maybe false, or the particular listing could point to another Android phone by a different manufacturer.
Pei clarified on the company's blog, "We were confident in the OnePlus 3 when it launched, but sales in mainland Europe have been way better than what we expected. Therefore, we've decided to temporarily pause sales in some countries in order to give inventory time to replenish."
He continued, "We are working hard to secure more stock and fire up more production lines so that we can fulfill our goal of putting premium products into the hands of as many people as possible. With this note I wanted to give customers in affected regions enough advance notice to be able to purchase a OnePlus 3. If you're planning to purchase but can't do it before we pause sales, we'll be offering an in-stock notification service where you can sign up with your email address to be notified when we're back in stock."
OnePlus 3 is a 5.5-inch AMOLED display that carries impressive specs: a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 4, a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 6GB RAM. Also, it has 64GB internal storage and comes with 3,000 mAh battery. The cameras are 16MP for the main and 8MP for the front. The phone's initial price is US$399.
