Exciting things are expected to happen in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. In a series of social media messages, cast member Maisie Williams has recently hinted of the new season's shocking events.

The young actress took to Twitter on Tuesday, Aug. 23, to share several teaser messages for "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Williams started her social media spoilers by sharing that she has already finished reading the scripts for the upcoming season, CNN reported. It appears that the HBO show's Season 7 will feature some surprising storylines and plot twists.

Although Williams did not disclose any details for the show's next season, she advised loyal viewers to "start preparing" themselves for what appears to be another gut-wrenching and heartbreaking chapter. However, she also commented that fans of the show may not be ready to see some of the shocking story and character developments.

Avid viewers may recall the surprising events in Season 6 that included the resurrection of Kit Harington's Jon Snow. Williams' character Arya Stark has also transformed herself into a good fighter where she managed to scratch off one of the persons on her kill list.

The sixth season of the hit HBO show also saw the death of many characters such as Lena Headey's Cersei's son Tommen and Kristian Narin's Hodor. Cersei, the new Queen of the Iron Throne, has also managed to eradicate many of her enemies in a huge wildfire blast.

Filming activities for the HBO series' seventh season is set to start soon. However, the TV adaption of author George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series will close its final chapter in its upcoming Season 8 run. HBO's Casey Bloys made the revelation during the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour held in July, The Wrap reported.

Bloys has commented that HBO would have wanted to extend the series until Season 10. However, showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss has indicated that the remaining storyline of "Game of Thrones" would only cover two seasons.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to air in summer 2017 on HBO.
